When cooking rice, use your fingers to measure the water level. In my case it is on the same level as the second line of my middle finger (the opened palm is touching the flattened level of the rice inside the casserole). ……….Cook the rice and when the water starts coming out of the casserole mix it with a ladle. When the water level is about the same as the level of the rice starting to be cooked, turn the stove to low heat. In my case its about seven to ten minutes of waiting and its done. The point here is, you discover for yourself on what level of your finger is the correct water level (Google Hand Estimate) and waiting time for different number of can measurements or any form of measurement, a particular time when the water starts coming out of the casserole (Google Rice Cooking Estimate) and another particular time after you turned the stove to low heat (Google Rice Drying Estimate). And when you find that out, then that will be your guide for cooking rice the next time. This method will help you save gas or electricity. In the future you might eat Google rice prepared and cooked this way. I hope this Google article is helpful to you.
